Two young automotive photographers arriving with résumés at the AutoMediaGroup head office

Careers at AutoMediaGroup

Be your own boss.
Not on your own.

Work as an independent AutoMediaGroup subcontractor—build your own small-business experience with practical training, proven systems and an established automotive media team behind you.

Expressions of interest

Good people make
the system work.

AutoMediaGroup supports dealerships through vehicle photography, video, editing, merchandising, training and backup coverage. That creates opportunities for different strengths—behind the camera, behind the screen and directly with dealership teams.

Specific openings change with account coverage and project demand. You can still introduce yourself even when a position is not currently posted.

Where you may fit

Three ways to
work with AMG.

Roles are matched to current dealership coverage, support needs and project schedules.

01

Field capture representative

Photograph and film dealership inventory on location while managing keys, staging, shot consistency and the vehicle handoff.

  • Dealership account coverage
  • Exterior, interior and video capture
  • Independent daily workflow
02

Editing and merchandising support

Help turn raw vehicle media into organized, polished listing assets through editing, quality control, uploads and inventory checks.

  • Image and video finishing
  • Listing and upload support
  • Inventory quality review
03

Freelance event and content coverage

Support dealership events, Cars & Coffee gatherings, staff headshots, vehicle launches and specialty automotive projects.

  • Event photography
  • Short-form video coverage
  • Dealership headshots

The work behind the media

Autonomy with
a clear standard.

Much of the work happens independently, but every person represents AutoMediaGroup inside a dealership. Reliability, communication and consistency matter as much as the camera work.

What field work involves

  • Work professionally around dealership staff, customers and vehicles
  • Follow a repeatable shot list and AutoMediaGroup quality standard
  • Communicate missing keys, blocked vehicles and listing issues clearly
  • Handle active, outdoor work through changing Ontario conditions

A strong fit

  • Automotive knowledge or a genuine interest in vehicles
  • A reliable, self-directed approach and strong attention to detail
  • Photography or video experience is helpful, but training can support the right candidate
  • A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation for field-based roles
